PICO DE ORIZABA

The highest mountain of Mexico (volcano) is located between the states of Veracruz and Puebla its maximum height is 18,438 feet (5620 m) and is the third highest mountain in North America, after mt.Denali and mt. Logan.

It is scaled by the north face crossing the Jamapa glacier that begins at 16,303 feet (5000 m.) Which has an inclination of approximately 55 °, the best season to climb is from October to March, it is advisable to follow acclimatization programs to The height realizing ascents to mountains of less altitude as they can be the Malinche and / or Iztaccihuatl especially for people who live in altitudes at sea level.

Day 1 :

–  Transfer from CDMX to Tlachichuca

–  Transfer from tlachichuca to “piedra grande” hut by 4×4

Day 2:

–  Summit day and back to CDMX

Day 1 :

–  Transfer from CDMX to Teotihuacan Piramyds (archeology zone )

– Transfer from Teotihuacan to tlachichuca

Day 2:

–  Transfer tlachichuca to piedra grande hut by 4×4

Day 3:

–              Hiking until 15,000 feet ( 4800 m.) and back to piedra grande hut

Day 4:

–              Summit day, and go back to tlalchichuca

Day 5:

–              Transfer tlachichuca to CDMX
